It’s that time of year again in South Carolina, fresh fruits and vegetables are starting to become available and the local Famer’s Market is ready to sell them!  The Waccamaw Market Cooperative coordinates eight area Farmer’s Markets in each city or town.  The Waccamaw Market Cooperative is a community development effort supported by the Clemson Extension Service and members of the local business community. The closest Farmer’s Market to Bridgewater is located on the waterfront on Mineola Ave on Thursdays from 9 AM- 2 PM.  It’s located 5 miles around the corner from Bridgewater off US Hwy. 17, in the heart of Little River.  This seasonal event runs from May 6th - Oct. 28th.   The vendors vary but offer a wide variety of locally grown fruits, vegetables, local honey, fresh eggs, and local craft items.  It’s a fun outing and the location is on the Little River waterfront which is home to several local seafood restaurants for great lunch spots!
