Looking for some fun holiday activities for the whole family or just for date night? Myrtle Beach is FULL of holiday cheer throughout the month of December - grab some warm clothes and get that hot cocoa to go!

Here's a list of some of the best holiday activities in the area:

1. Christmas Parades on December 3rd

There are 2 parades happening on Saturday, December 3rd. Depending on where you live, you can catch A Very Broadway Christmas Parade at 11am in Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the Beach or you can catch the North Myrtle Beach Christmas Parade at 5:30pm on Main St. in North Myrtle! If you're really feeling festive, you could even catch both!

2. Night of a Thousand Candles

Experience one of the most beloved holiday events in Myrtle Beach: Night of a Thousand Candles. Ask anyone and they will surely recommend heading out to Brookgreen Gardens for a night you won't forget. Watch as the gardens come to life amid the soft glow of more than 2,700 hand-lit candles and millions of sparkling lights around you. As you walk through the lights, warm up with a cup of cider and listen to the sounds of the holidays. This event goes on through New Years Eve, so plenty of time to fit it in around the busy holiday schedule!

3. Great Christmas Light Show at the Beach

The Great Christmas Light Show lights up the night sky with a drive-thru light show that expands for almost 2 miles! This is a must-see experience in North Myrtle Beach including over 2 million lights, 30 animated figures and holiday scenes that come to life with the help of a little Christmas magic. Listen along on your radio as your drive through for synchronized sounds of the season. As you finish your drive, visit Santa's Village for hot chocolate, s'mores and even a seat on Santa's lap!

4.  Winter Wonderland at the Beach

If you reside closer to Myrtle Beach, then Winter Wonderland at the Beach is the light show for you! Located on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, this incredible light show is synchronized to Christmas carols and holiday tunes - and it's free! Stretching 1 mile through the heart of Myrtle Beach, this is a one-of-a-kind experience you have to see to believe.

5. Carolina Opry Christmas Special

The Carolina Opry Christmas Special is a show you cannot miss! Voted #1 for 36 years, the often-dubbed "Christmas Show of the South" will open for a 37th season this year. Each year the Christmas special brings stunning changes and time-honored tradition to create an experience that is second to none. Don't miss your chance at an unforgettable holiday experience!

6. Play in the Snow!

Each night of December you can enjoy snow in Center Court at Broadway at the Beach! Snow takes place on the hour from 2pm - 7pm daily for 15 minutes. If you're already in the area, make sure to take in a little snowfall for the season!

The Myrtle Beach area is buzzing with excitement during the holidays, so make sure to get out and enjoy the place you live this holiday season!

Happy Holidays!
